Recently my mother and I have been sneaking away every Sunday for a great movie. On New Years day we drove in town to The Ritz (www.landmarktheatres.com) for Tom Ford's A Single Man. It was one of those films where I got totally lost in the beauty of the cinematography, styling and music and left feeling completely inspired and ready to shoot.

At dinner I said to my mom I wished I had lived in the 60's. She laughed and then reminded me of multiple asassinations and political turmoil. I was more interested in the fashion and interior design.

Julianne Moore's character reminded me very much of my great friend Jane Schoenborn. She is the Design Director for Print and Pattern, Accessories and Footwear and Creative Director for Lilly Pulitzer. Janie is extremely talented and tons of fun. I am on a search for the pink papered cigarettes in the image above. Yes, sometimes we smoke, I know it's terrible. Everyone has their vices.

I would love to introduce Janie to all of you and IMPLEMENT my idea of Featured Friends. You will get a look inside my talented friend's home, find out what's inside her fridge, what's on her bedside, in her closet etc. Janie will be featured on Monday January 11th.
